theJobJar Jargon @ thejobjar.com

There's lots of news at theJobJar these days. Our community of users is growing each day as more and more people in the Nashville, TN. area find out about our new website for people looking to make extra money or people looking for extra help when they need it!

This will be our second round – we launched theJobJar about a year ago and realized the site wasn’t as easy to use as we had hoped. So, we gave our web developers the green light to go back and start from scratch with the kind of development they had suggested all along.

We think we’re close now to a site that everyone can use! But we want feedback, if there is anything we can do to make theJobJar accessible to as many people as possible.

We realize not everyone who needs theJobJar has a way to use theJobJar. So, soon, we’d like to give people a chance to help those who either don’t have a computer or don’t have enough computer skills, to volunteer as a JobJar Partner.

A JobJar Partner is someone who volunteers their time and their computer to look up small and part-time jobs for those who need to find them, or post small or part-time jobs for those who need to find help to do jobs they can’t do themselves.

Now, let’s talk about what a JobJar user looks like!

You might be a JobJar user...

  • if you're in debt "up to your eyeballs", like the guy in the commercial says
  • if you're a Dave Ramsey devotee
  • if you want to find quality people to handle small jobs around your home or office
  • if you want to get background information about the people you want to hire before you hire them for small jobs around your home or office
  • if you are a Professional who is interested in being hired as a consultant
  • if you are looking for day laborers
  • if you are a new company that can't afford to hire full-time employees at the moment and are looking for well-qualified part-time, temporary workers
  • if you are tired of temp agencies charging twice what it costs to hire a qualified person if you could find them on your own
  • if you are looking for extra work to fit into your schedule
  • if you need someone to replace a worker who is on vacation, leave, etc.
  • if you need extra money for: college savings, vacations, medical bills, or just plain saving!
